## My favourite things

Here are some of my favourite shops and products (see more on my [values](https://judeshealthjourney.com/values?hsLang=en-gb)).

### Online shopping

[(Ad) Bodykind](https://prf.hn/click/camref:1100l5aJuh/pubref:JHJ/destination:https%3A%2F%2Fwww.bodykind.com%2F) has been my go-to for supplements for at least 15 years. They also stock some of my favourite toiletry and makeup brands, so other items sometimes get added to my basket, depending what's on my shopping list!

I've been shopping here for well over ten years and you will see lots of products from Ethical Superstore in my upcoming recipe posts!

### Food preparation

I love these oven safe plates from Harts of Stur. They have a well defined rim which is perfect for containing soft foods that need oven cooking.

### Natural sweeteners and sugar substitutes

My favourite sugar alternative is monk fruit (lo han guo) which is naturally very sweet (200 - 300 times sweeter than sugar!). Golden Lo Han Guo powder from [Buddha Fruit](https://buddha-fruit.com/) is my 'go to' for recipes where a dry powder can be used, and I love their Lo Han Honey when I need a liquid. These are both 100 % natural and are grown in the traditional way on sustainable plantations in southern China.

Only a tiny amount of monk fruit is needed to achieve the same sweetness as sugar, so I also use erythritol and inulin. As they are less sweet than sugar, combining them with a small amount of monkfruit powder can produce a blend that can be used as a direct replacement for sugar.
